# Zoe's Deals

> Zoe's Deals aggregates and ranks current individual-product deals. It excludes news, category pages, broad sales, and roundups. Shop links use a first-party, uncached redirect that records aggregate interest before sending visitors to the retailer.

## API parameters

`GET /api/deals`

- `sort`: `best`, `newest`, `savings`, or `price_asc`
- `limit`: 1–60
- `offset`: 0–300
- `hours`: 12–168
- `category`: an exact category name returned by `/api/meta`

Responses are public JSON and are cached for 60 seconds. Pagination can continue until `hasMore` is false or offset 300 is reached. Prices and availability should be confirmed at the linked retailer.

Each database-backed deal includes `share_url` for its canonical Zoe's Deals page and `go_url` for the uncached retailer redirect. `deal_url` remains the resolved retailer URL.

The default `best` order reserves the first two results for the most popular eligible deals. Click influence decays over time, and a product is eligible for a featured position only during its first 24 hours. Remaining results are ordered newest first.
